Your guide will help you take well-framed shots before you continue deeper into the park for the day’s main highlights.
Dante’s View Point (30 minutes): Visit one of Death Valley’s most breathtaking viewpoints. From nearly 5,500 feet above the valley floor, Dante’s View offers sweeping, unobstructed views of Badwater Basin, the Panamint Mountains, and the vast desert landscape. Enjoy a short, easy walk along the ridge where your guide will help you capture stunning wide-angle photos of the park’s natural beauty.
Zabrieski Point (30 minutes): Experience one of Death Valley’s most famous viewpoints. Zabriskie Point features sweeping views of golden badlands, layered rock formations, and dramatic desert ridges. Your guide will lead you on a short, paved walk to the viewpoint, where you’ll have time to enjoy the scenery and capture beautiful photos of this unique landscape.
Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes (30 minutes): Explore one of Death Valley’s most iconic landscapes — the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. These rolling golden dunes create a surreal desert scene with rippled patterns, shifting light, and wide-open views. Take a short walk into the dunes to experience the soft sand under your feet while your guide helps you capture beautiful desert photographs. This stop is ideal for scenic photos, silhouettes, and relaxed walking at your own pace.
Furnace Creek Visitor Center (45 minutes): Stop at Furnace Creek, the central hub of Death Valley National Park. This area offers restrooms, a visitor center, and informative exhibits about the park’s extreme climate. After a long day of sightseeing, enjoy a relaxing dinner break at one of the local restaurants before continuing toward your sunset and stargazing locations.
Badwater Basin (Lowest Point in North America) (30 minutes): Visit Badwater Basin, one of Death Valley’s most iconic locations and the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level. Walk onto the vast white salt flats that stretch as far as the eye can see, creating a surreal, otherworldly landscape. Your guide will help you explore safely and capture stunning photos of the unique polygon-shaped salt formations.
Artist’s Palette (Colorful Mountain Overlook) (45 minutes): Visit Artist’s Palette, one of Death Valley’s most vibrant and unique landscapes. The hills here are naturally colored in shades of pink, green, yellow, and purple — created by oxidized minerals in the rock. Stargazing at Death Valley Junction (45 minutes): End your day with a peaceful stargazing experience at Death Valley Junction, one of the region’s best dark-sky areas outside the park. Away from major city lights, this quiet desert location offers clear, unobstructed views of the night sky. Your guide will point out major constellations and help you enjoy the beauty of the Milky Way, depending on seasonal visibility.
Return to Las Vegas: After stargazing, we’ll make a comfortable rest stop before beginning the drive back to Las Vegas. Relax in the van as your guide safely transports you back to the city. You’ll be dropped off at the same location where you were picked up in the morning.
